Aurora is located east and southeast of Denver. From northern Aurora - it but a short drive to DIA - Denver International Airport. The City of Aurora Cultural Arts Program offers the public classes in such subjects as fine arts, dance, pottery, and music. The Aurora Fox Arts Center offers performing arts classes. A summer music concert series as well as concerts in the park are offered. The Aurora History Museum has excellent exhibits chronicling the history and culture of the town. There is a great deal of art in public places around town, which gives Aurora a unique image and allows the city to establish a distinctive aesthetic character. Pottery and fine art sales are common throughout the year. Dance recitals and other performances are held regularly through the City of Aurora Cultural Services Division.
Aurora sports fans can attend Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, and Rockies games. Sports Park in Aurora offers regional and national softball and soccer tournaments on 22 multi-use fields and 12 baseball/softball fields. There are a wide variety of golf courses for the golf lover. These include Saddle Rock, Murphy Creek, Meadow Hills, Aurora Hills, Fitzsimons, Springhill, and Centre Hills. There is always some sports or leisure activity to be a part of, such as cooking, dance, dog training, drama, fitness, gymnastics, mini golf, pottery, racquetball, tennis, and swimming
The outdoor lifestyle is a common one in Aurora because the city is close to so much natural beauty. Cherry Creek Reservoir offers: hiking, biking, swimming, camping, horse back riding and more; Grandview Dog Park has 5 acres of off-leash dog exercise space just near the Aurora Quincy Reservoir. There are miles and miles of hiking and biking trails to cruise along and enjoy the sunshine. The Morrison Nature Center and Star K Ranch near the Sand Creek Greenway has riding trails, nature hikes, and public workshops. There are two different reservoirs that give people the opportunity to wind sail, bike, walk, or just dive in the water. Aurora features three public reservoirs as well a number of parks, public golf courses, Tennis and Swimming facilities and Skateboard parks.

EDUCATION:  The city is served by two districts: Aurora School System in the north half and the Cherry Creeks School System in the south. APS has more than 35,500 with a graduation rate of 48.5 percent. The APS has 55 schools: 2 early childhood education centers, 28 elementary schools, 7 middle schools three K-8 schools, four High Schools, one gifted and talented K-8 pilot schools and six charter schools. With about 50,000 students, Cherry Creek covers more than 100 square miles, with its larhest base from Aurora. About 32,000 students attend its Aurora Schools: 22 elementary, 6 middle and 5 high schools.

A wide variety of shopping, entertainment, restaurants, as well as a diversity of residential neighborhoods offer the home buyer a wide variety of choices.
  Aurora is home to the Anchutz Medical Complex,  a/k/a The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (Fitzsimons), a world-class academic health center, with state-of-the-art healthcare facilities and education . Under construction is a major new Veterans Hospital which will serve the western United States. This complex is located just south of I-70 and west of I-225 providing easy access to all parts of Metro Denver.

A host of options awaits the dining enthusiast with many ethnic restaurants and markets here. The city is also conveniently close to some of east Denver's top attractions, including the Denver Zoo and the Museum of Nature and Science. At just 15 minutes away, Aurora is also conveniently close to the Denver International Airport.
